Services Offered
Physical Therapy
Wiggle Worms Pediatric PT offers specialized pediatric physical therapy services by well- trained and licensed therapists. We offer services in a variety of settings including the clinic, many preschools throughout southern Maine and academic school- based services in several school districts in York county, Maine.
We strive to provide caring, hands- on therapy in a fun and nurturing environment. We treat children birth to age 18 with many diagnosis including: Torticollis, brachial plexus birth injuries, developmental delays, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down syndrome, genetic disorders, sports injuries/ orthopedic impairments, scoliosis, hypotonia, muscular dystrophy, seizure disorders, toe walking, and many others.
Physical Therapists are available to provide consults for adaptive equipment and place orders for clients. Adaptive equipment may include: wheelchairs, standers, walkers/ crutches, gait trainers and orthotics.
The therapists at Wiggle Worms have a strong background in NDT which is a hands- on approach that works to facilitate the rehabilitation of the patient. Our approach is play- based and always focuses on function.
Occupational Therapy
Our OT is able to consult patients on ADL equipment and place orders for clients. ADL equipment may include: bathing, dressing or toileting equipment.
We provide Occupational Therapy services at Wiggle Worms. Services are provided by well- trained and licensed staff. OT services are offered in the clinic, and in several pre- schools throughout the southern Maine area.
Our OT provides many services including: sensory- based therapy, fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and training with equipment for ADL’s (activities of daily living) ex. dressing skills. Some of the diagnosis treated include: sensory processing/sensory integration disorders, ADHD, CP, developmental and motor delays, and other conditions.
Our OT is able to consult patients on ADL equipment and place orders for clients. ADL equipment may include: feeding, grooming, dressing, bathing or toileting equipment. Recommendation of sensory equipment is provided to children under services that need it to improve their processing abilities.
Speech/Language Therapy
We provide Speech and Language services at Wiggle Worms. Services are provided by well-trained and licensed staff. Speech services are offered in the clinic, and in preschool settings in the southern Maine area.
Our speech therapists provide many services including: individual and group speech therapy sessions, as well as language therapy to improve articulation skills, vocabulary development, receptive and expressive language skills, and pragmatic language skills. They provide treatment for many other challenges as well, such as: apraxia, dysarthria, stuttering, autism spectrum disorders, and feeding disorders.
